Whitney Houston Cause of Death Revealed

The L.A. County Coroner has determined Whitney Houston‘s cause of death. According to TMZ, the official cause of death is listed as accidental drowning, although other factors are listed as contributing factors.

The report states that heart disease and cocaine use also played a part in her death.  

Whitney was discovered in the bathroom of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton last month, where investigators also found prescription pills. 

Traces of marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl were also found in her system, but they did not contribute to her death.

Whitney Houston's Daughter Wants A Name Change?

TMZ reports that 19 year old Bobbi Kristina Brown wants to change her name to Kristina Houston. She wants to loose the link between her and her father.

She pushed her mom for the name change 6 years ago after the divorce but Whitney told her no.

Whitney Houston's will filed in 2000 states her jewelry, clothes, car, furniture and all person assets go to daughter Bobbi Kristina.

Bobbi Kristina gets a little of the money at 21, a little more at 25 and the rest at age 30. Not a specific amount of things were specified on the will.


The singer was found dead in the bathtub at the Beverly Hilton on the afternoon of Feb. 11. The coroner's office hasn't yet released the cause of death, pending the result of toxicology test, but E! News has been told that Beverly Hills police are nearing the end of their investigation and are close to ruling Houston's death an accident.

Oprah Lands Whitney Houston Family Interview.

Yep that's right, queen of talk shows, Oprah Winfrey, will be interviewing the family of the late Whitney Houston. Airing on her channel, OWN, she will be interviewing Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina. Also included will be Whitney's sister and manager, Patricia Houston and brother Gary.

Houston died on February 11 at the age of 48. Cause of death is still waiting to be determined.

Winfrey was a guest at the singer's "Home Going" (Funeral) last month.

Interview will air Sunday March 11 at 9pm

Whitney Houston could bring in $10 million after death.

It is not unknown for a celebrity to rake in the cash after their death. Six months after Michael Jackson died in 2009 his estate made close to $30 million worldwide. Recent reports show that Whitney has struggled financially in the past but the sales of her music will improve the condition of her estate. Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina who is 18 will most likely be the main beneficiary. 

Whitney will not come close to the sales after Michael Jackson’s death. Jackson had ownership of all his songs he wrote himself. The most famous Houston hit, “I Will Always Love You” is not owned by Houston’s estate but by the songwriter Dolly Parton. 

Whitney’s greatest hits album will eventually be in Billboards Top 10 chart in the next coming weeks. Already 50,000 were sold in the first two days of Whitney Houston’s death.
