"I feel very sorry for her," said O'Donnell. "I think she needs a lot of help. She needs a lot of time away."
Matt Lauer asked whether she thought it was a good idea for Lindsay to portray the late actress Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime flick.
"No. Because she's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including [Saturday Night Live]. She was out and not at rehearsal and I think she's not in a place to work."
When fellow panelist Donny Deutch chimed in with a thumbs-up, comparing Lindsay to "this generation's Elizabeth Taylor," O'Donnell didn't hold back.
"You're out of your mind!" she replied. "You're a crackhead...The last thing she did good she was 16!"
Rosie elaborated further, "I don't think she's right for the role, and I don't think she's capable at this point of doing what's needed to portray that character. I think the interest level in her has waned significantly."
Reacting to the tirade, Lohan's publicist told E! News exclusively: "I think Rosie should focus on her own career and stop worrying about everyone else's."
Woah.
What's your opinion?
I personally think Lindsay is not good for the role. She needs to earn the respect back from the general public before enduring such a role of a legend. She's not playing just another role, she's portraying Elizabeth Taylor, one of the greats. I also do not think she is even the right fit to be playing Taylor.
