Kevin McGuire is a senior in high school who at 13 was diagnosed with leukemia. He is now in relapse and has it again. He told his sister all he wanted was someone who wouldn’t care if he had no hair to be his prom date. He said his perfect prom date would be Miss Taylor Swift. Kevin’s sister set up a group on Facebook inviting people to spread the word to see if the country sweetheart would take his superhero (Kevin’s nickname) brother to prom. Just in a matter of days news spread like wild fire. On Friday, Swift went to her Facebook to post this message to Kevin:
Kevin, I’m so sorry but I won’t be able to make it to your prom. But I was wondering, the ACM Awards are coming up… Would you be my date?Love, Taylor
What a lovely surprise for Kevin! If he feels well enough on April 1st, Kevin will get to enjoy the country packed award show with his superstar date no other then Taylor Swift herself!
